How to set up Google Flight alerts

You can spend less, travel more and find some insane money-saving travel deals with Google Flights. Searching the internet for tracking prices for a flight or a route can be cumbersome and arduous. Thanks to Google Flights this exercise has become fun rather than trauma to be endured.

1] Track prices for a route or flight

You can choose to get emails when the price for a flight you’re tracking changes significantly. For this, Switch on your PC launch the browser and go to Google Flights.

There, on the main page of Google Flights, select the number of stops, cabin class, and how many tickets you require.

When done, choose your departure airport and destination.

Now, to track prices for this route, switch the toggle adjacent to ‘Track prices’ (To track prices for a specific flight, choose your flights, then click Track price).

2] See tracked flights or turn emails off

After having done this, go to Google Flights, again.

In the top left, look for the ‘Menu’ and then ‘Tracked flight prices’. Now, to see flights you’re tracking, click a saved route.

Here, if you would like to turn tracking emails on or off, slide the toggle next to ‘Email notifications’ to off position. Alternatively, To stop tracking a route or flight, click ‘Remove’.

3] Get insights about price changes

You’ll start seeing a notification in Google Flights whenever,

Prices for a route you’re viewing, likely go up.The current fare for a flight expires soon and the new fare is likely to cost more.

This way, you can beat the hassle and use Google Flights to track prices for a flight or route.
